November 7-9, 2012. ipCG hosted the 10th ipCG Thought Leadership Conference

ipCG ConferenceBusiness results are increasingly driven by intangible assets - these assets can provide substantial value in several ways. This year's conference examined how to focus intangible assets to capture more value through a transformative process. The conference, held at the Stowe Mountain Lodge, in Stowe, VT, was limited to 50 attendees. There were two add-on sessions, one focusing on "The Impact of AIA on IP Strategy" (CLE credit pending) the other on IP Portfolio Development. June 26-27, 2012. Nancy Edwards Cronin spoke at The 11th Annual SCPD Conference

Nancy CroninNancy Edwards Cronin presented at the Society of Concurrent Product Development conference in St. Paul, on “Leveraging IP Practices to Enhance Innovation.” After the presentation Jennifer Petersen interviewed Nancy on some key aspects of the presentation and asked additional questions about innovation and IP. March 2, 2012. Nancy Edwards Cronin speaks at Hollywood IT Summit

Nancy Edwards Cronin, Principal, spoke at the Hollywood IT Summit (HITS). The conference was held on March 2nd in the George Elkins Auditorium at the Malibu Campus of Pepperdine University from 9AM to 5:30PM. HITS was a one-day event with multiple tracks and break-out sessions. The major areas of focus for the Summit were studio case studies (best practices), digital distribution models and analysis, connectivity and real-time decision making, big data, self-service business discovery and exploration of innovative technologies driving business transformation.

On September 20th Nancy Edwards Cronin, Principal, spoke alongside Robert R. Sachs of Fenwick & West LLP at the 2011 Congress on Patent Strategies for the Financial Services Industry. The topic was Bilski vs. Kappos: How Bilski Changes the Law of Patentable Subject Matter, and its Effect on Present and Future Patent Programs, and Effective Patent Strategies.

For the second consecutive year, Nancy Edwards Cronin, Principal, served as a panelist in the Saint Michael's College “Enterprise Plan Competition,” in which students pitch sustainable business plans to a panel of local business leaders.

On November 3-5, 2010 ipCG hosted the 8th ipCG Thought Leadership Conference. This year's conference focused on nurturing and monetizing creative behavior, protecting innovation, and systematizing the innovation process - ultimately "Transforming Ideas into Distinguished Results."

John Cronin, Managing Director & Chairman, presented Leveraging Open Innovation through Intellectual Property while Raising Value in your Growing High-Tech Company in the UK at four separate locations over four days, January 25-28 2010. Following up on the success of his October workshop in Reading, John discussed how to use disciplined, cost-effective and unique Intellectual Property (IP) Management Approaches.


The 2009 ipCG Thought Leadership Conference took place November 4-6 in Stowe, Vermont. Since 2003, ipCapital Group has hosted the annual executive retreat designed to share actionable IP strategies that maximize value and minimize costs.

Adam Bulakowski, associate of ipCapital Group, spoke at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth on April 30 with Professor Alva H. Taylor. Their lecture and case discussion focused on a start-up's strategic management of its IP prior to acquisition by a large competitor.
